What our clients say

Nick is a pleasant and efficient electrician who takes the time to really listen to my issues with lights and ceiling fans and finds solutions to them.

Aline Sandilands

Nick and Bernie are a good team - they are organized, friendly and hardworking. We will use them for future electrical projects. I would highly recommended NBV Electrical Limited.

Rick Mnils

Great service and on time. We had been looking for a good electrician to fix some existing, and install additional, outdoor lighting as well as a few smaller projects.

Peer Skov

Frequently asked questions

Do you charge for quotes?

We provide FREE quotes. However, fault-finding or repair work will be charged.

Call us on 09 391 1212 to book your free quote.

How much do you charge for a 24/7 emergency electrician?

Please note, our minimum call out charge for after hours is $360+ GST which includes the first three hours of work.

How much is your hourly rate?

Our hourly rate is pretty standard and cost effective. Enquire for more information.

How much does an electrical certificate of compliance or electrical safety certificate cost?

Electrical Certificate of Compliances (COCs) & Electrical Safety Certificate (ESCs) are $35 + GST each which will be supplied at the completion of every job.

As part of being compliant with the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) and Worksafe, we issue a COC for any new wiring work done on your property. This includes additional light fittings that require new wiring or fitting new power points. COC’s are not provided for the maintenance of electrical work as that falls under Electrical Safety Certificates (ESC). Envy Electrical guarantees our workmanship has been completed to a high standard by a licensed electrician and meets safety standards for new installation of new wiring, electrical equipment, lightings and fittings etc.

ESCs are provided for maintenance and replacement electrical work including any replacements of fixtures, fittings or appliance maintenance.

What are your charges for materials?

We install only high-quality products as included in the price is an on-site warranty. We do charge a small mark-up on our materials to support our electricians and source materials sustainably. If we are selling many materials we will generally pass on the discounts. If you want to be 100% sure on what the costs will be then please call us for a free quote.

The gear provided by big retailers is generally of a lower quality with marginal warranties than the materials we provide. We also have a return to site warranty which includes labour for the replacement of any faulty products.

What are your travel charges?

Our standard vehicle charge is $45 + GST per day, but if you’re local to our office, we waive this fee completely, just ask us for details! We know travel costs can be a worry, but because we operate all over the Auckland region and have GPS in our vans, we can easily send an electrician who is already finishing up a job near you. This keeps things efficient and ensures you won't incur any excessive travel charges. If you have any questions, just sing out!
